Project

In 2006, the plans of the three Dutch Universities of Technology to form a federation inspired ESMG Quadrivium to set up a musical collaboration project between the three student orchestras of these universities.

Eindhoven University of Technology, Delft University of Technology and Twente University are already closely collaborating in both research and education. With the three TU concerts, the student orchestras additionally will demonstrate a culturally collaborative effort. This will allow students of the different universities to meet each other and expand their personal networks, while the organisation of the project will offer valuable management challenges and experiences. Finally, the special combination of the three student music societies, each having their own specialties and identity, will provide a solid base for a diverse, accessible and high quality concert programme, capable of reaching out to a broader (student) audience.
