Festival

During the day several orchestras and choirs from the whole area will perform at a huge stage at the Dommel near the Van Abbe museum in Eindhoven. The festival will end with the spectacular lustrum concert of ESMG Quadrivium, which is the organizing association. ESMG Quadrivium is the music association for students in Eindhoven.

In December 2009 ESMG Quadrivium celebrated her 45th birthday. This lustrum is celebrated with several activities during the college year. To end the lustrum year in a spectacular way, Music at the Dommel is organized.

The idea of organizing a festival came up while the lustrum program was made, already one and a half year ago. Aim was to awaken our enthusiasm for classical music to other people. A central location in the city center of Eindhoven with free entrance was chosen, so the festival gives a diverse audience access to classical music. Because of this Quadrivium hopes to reach as many people as possible to enjoy classical music and our lustrum.

After festival 'Music at the Dommel', Quadrivium will go on concert tour through the Netherlands. From 12 until 18 July, Quadrivium will ship three old Clippers and sail to different concert locations around the IJsselmeer.
